For 25 years, BODY ELECTRIC has been and continues to be a unique resource for men to be more comfortable in their bodies and for those who are looking to connect on deeper levers with others. BODY ELECTRIC in CANADA

BODY ELECTRIC offers workshops in several cities in Canada, the United States and Australia. In Canada, “Celebrating the Body Erotic” (CBE) is offered in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal. The workshop was first given in Montreal in June 2006. More than 100 men have attended six workshops. It has been a great success. The next Montreal CBE workshops are March 13-14 and November 6-7. The workshops are conducted in both English and French.

OUR OBJECTIVE

The work of BODY ELECTRIC is to help people experience their potential as fully integrated, loving and self-aware beings through personal growth exercises, touch, conscious breath, and honouring the wisdom of the body. The individual’s work can then affect healthy and positive changes within many communities.

CELEBRATING THE BODY EROTIC (CBE)

BODY ELECTRIC invites you to explore your potential. CBE involves the mind, the body and the heart in a series of exercises that use breathing, stretching and touching. When men take responsibility for their erotic education, they realize how much there is to learn about awakening the erotic energy that lies within all of us. They begin to realize the satisfaction that comes from learning how to both give and receive pleasure. The workshop focuses on the entire body and is conducted in a setting that is playful, safe and honouring. The benefits of this work are: • The participant gains greater acceptance of himself as an erotic being, both physically and mentally. • He discovers ways to develop a more satisfying erotic relationship with others. • He becomes more aware of spiritual dimensions in his erotic explorations.

CBE is a full two-day clothes-off workshop (9am-7pm) for those who are ready to vigorously explore new levels of feeling, both within themselves and within a community of men (adult).

Body Electric also offers many other more advanced workshops and intensive retreats. It should be noted, that CBE is a pre-requisite to other workshops.

REGISTRATION FEE

The registration fee for the workshop is $395 US or CDN. The workshop must be paid in full three weeks before the beginning of the workshop. If you repeat the workshop within one year, you receive a reduction of $100 on the registration fee. If you pay the full amount of the workshop six weeks before the beginning of the workshop, you receive a reduction of $50 on the registration fee. Pay in full five weeks before and receive a $30 reduction." Offers cannot be combined with other offers.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

I've heard it's a sort of "spiritual" experience from friends. What does that mean?
Many people report experiences ranging from feeling connected to themselves for the first time to having transcendental moments. Others find a peacefulness, insights and more. Each person’s experience is different.

Body Electric used to offer more women and mixed gender workshops. Will that continue?
There are several workshops for women in 2008 and we are looking into adding more in 2008 and beyond. We will announce more information at a later time.

Can couples do the workshops together?
Yes.

I'm not a couple, can I do it anyway?
Only the Celebrating The Body Erotic for Couples is limited to couples.

I think I'm too old, what is the age group of the people that attend?
You are never too old to attend Body Electric. People in their 20s and on up to their 80s attend and benefit from the work.

How will this help me in my erotic life?
You will become aware of the many layers of eroticism and how to use them to enhance your life. You can also share this awareness with your partners and friends.

What if I run into someone I know?
Say hello. They are there to learn and experience the same as you.

Will they ever say "pick a partner" because I'm afraid I would be the last picked?
All the work is done by random selection in a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment that removes fears of rejection or isolation.

As a man I worry about if I get an erection or don’t get one.
Erections are part of being a man and they are welcome but not required at any workshop.

What if I ejaculate or have an orgasm? Am I thrown out?
No. The work is focused on building erotic energy and not about ejaculating. If you do ejaculate or orgasm, simply enjoy it and continue with the workshop.

I heard it is a big orgy.
It is not. The workshops are about erotic energy, deep connections with other participants and self-discovery. The workshops aren't about sexual activity.
