Passion for Living: An Embodied Exploration of Christ’s Easter Pageantry

Part of the Spirit and Eros Weekend *

In search of meaning in life we look for purpose and next for passion to propel us to fulfill that purpose or calling. Men who have spent a considerable part of their lives in denial and/or at war against the body, its feelings, sensations and passions often have difficulty in connecting with their life’s passion(s) in constructive ways. Religion/church has often been one of the barriers to connecting with passion. Many men continue to feel strong and deep connection to the early spiritual experiences in spite of conflicts with personal identity and expression.

The experience of Celebrating the Body Erotic is as much a spiritual experience as an erotic or physical one. In this Easter weekend experience, the crucifixion and the events surrounding the body of Christian tradition will be the vehicle for discovering ways for you to bring the power of this tradition into your life in a new way. Through rituals of breath, connection, touch and the deep well of personal eroticism we will explore some of the elements of the Easter story, inviting that story to live in our bodies and ignite our passion.

The Passion of Christ, re-enacted at Easter for centuries, has inspired people in many ways. How might a new and embodied exploration of this powerful story bring richness and meaning to your life?
